How to use Dependency Walker to find installation issues
Dependency Walker is a free utility that scans any 32-bit or 64-bit Windows module (exe, dll, ocx, sys, etc.) and builds a hierarchical tree diagram of all dependent modules. It is useful to find intallation issues caused by missing files.
Here is how to use it:
- Please download the free utility from its website. For testing iMacros, please use the 32-bit version of Dependency Walker even on x64 Systems, unless you are investigating issues with the 64-bit Scripting Interface. There is no installation required. Just unzip the archive and run "depends.exe"
- Open the file to investigate, e. g. "imacros.exe"
- A report is generated (dwi file). You can email the report to tech support. Since the file is typically large (1-2MB) please zip compress it before emailing to us.
